National Pain Week

Chronic Pain Australia believes in a multidisciplinary approach to pain management. We believe that working with your GP, pharmacist, allied health and mental health professional in an open and collegiate way can help produce the best results for people living with chronic pain.

Obviously managing your pain this way can be expensive and not accessible for everyone. Chronic Pain Australia will continue to make representation to politicians, policy makers and other key decision makers to help make chronic pain management accessible and affordable for all Australians.

We know that for people living with chronic pain, staying connected is crucial. Chronic Pain Australia runs a free 24/7 forum for people living with chronic pain. Here people in pain are welcomed with values of compassion, non-judgement and understanding.  Many forum participants indicate they have avoided suicide because of the friendship and support they find on the forum. The Chronic Pain Australia website also has some top tips for free resources that people in pain find helpful: http://chronicpainaustralia.org.au/documents-2/top-hits
