Community Connections is about expanding options and opportunities, ensuring that the support that we offer provides choice to the people who receive our services.

HERE 2 THERE

Here 2 There is a day trip opportunity with a delightful variety of places to visit and things to see and do. Join us for a delicious Devonshire Tea and then jump on board our Mini Bus together with a group of 10 to explore and enjoy our wonderful region.

MAN 2 MAN

As the name indicates, this program is for the men only. Man 2 Man is about getting out and about whilst indulging in secret men’s business ~ fishing, visiting the race track, war museums,  BBQs & refreshing cold beverages and ~ most importantly ~  good, old fashioned male companionship.

GIRLS DAY OUT

Ladies only! Girls Day Out gets the gals out and about whilst indulging in all things for ladies ~ cuppas and cakes, dining out, movies, shopping and more. GDO operates in a smaller group  so options are flexible and up to those participating. Girls just wanna have fun!

GROWING STRONGER

Let’s get physical and start that plan to a healthier and happier lifestyle. Name your preference and we’ll support you to reach your goal. Perhaps join up with a locally run program sponsored by the Gold Coast City Council, do some laps or participate in a water aerobics class, enjoy a walk through one of the many Gold Coast parks or whatever you desire. Let’s just start!

CONNECT 2 TECH

In response to the growing interest in IT from clients of all ages we have created an opportunity for computer lessons with a Tutor who will give support to our clients and carers on their particular device. One of our students is 92,  when asked her goal, she said that she wanted to ‘shock and surprise’ her family by sending them an email! Connect 2 Tech is about learning how to bank and shop online, skype your families and friends, save your favourite photos and download your favourite music ~ in an easy to learn in environment.

CARER PAMPER DAYS

Understanding the busy schedule of carers, Liberty invites Carers to our regular Carer Pamper Days and  best of all it’s our shout. Carers are welcomed for a delicious Devonshire Morning Tea to jump on board our bus and head out for a day of pampering. The day includes fellowship with others who also experience ‘what its like for you’, and also some practical conversation with staff who provide information and support. Sometimes all you need is an ear to listen. Leave your cares and concerns at home and the planning, and pampering to us.

ALLIED HEALTH

Liberty Community Connect has partnered with Allied Connect to provide a range of allied health services including a podiatry clinic that offers services to existing clients on a six weekly cycle. This is subsidised to keep it affordable and accessible. We also facilitate a regular Wellbeing Week to focus on nutrition, physiology, occupational therapy, physio and more.

 SCISSORS ‘N SASS HAIR SALON

Scissors ‘n Sass ~ I aim to tease ~ is our onsite hair salon. Our ‘sassy’  experienced hairdresser looks forward to creating that new vibe for you. Lorraine  is available to existing clients and their carers on a daily basis. This service is subsidised to keep it affordable. Appointments are necessary.

GIFTS 2 PLEASE ~ Deja Vu

Déjà vu is our on~site shop selling a variety of pre~loved and some new items including: books, clothing, accessories, glass and pottery and all manner of bric~a~brac. All donations to the shop are graciously accepted and profits received are invested back in to the delivery of further care services supporting people living with a disability, the elderly, their carers and their families.
