MAN 2 MAN
As the name indicates, this program is for the men only. Man 2 Man is about getting out and about whilst indulging in secret men’s business ~ fishing, war museums, scenic drives, BBQs, refreshing cold beverages and, most importantly, good, old fashioned male companionship.
LADIES’ DAY OUT
For the girls that wanna have fun! Indulging in all things for the ladies only: shopping, movies, dining, cuppas & cakes or whatever you like. It’s your call! Sign up, put the lippy on and get ready for your next girls day out.
CONNECT 2 TECH
In response to the growing interest in IT from clients of all ages we have created an opportunity for computer lessons with a Tutor who will give support to our clients and carers on their particular device (ipad/tablet/laptop/home PC).
This program teaches basic internet, email and applications and is based around individual goals and learning needs. One of our students is 92 years and when asked her goal, she said that she wanted to ‘shock and surprise’ her family by sending them an email! Connect 2 Tech is about learning how to bank and shop online, skype your families and friends, save your favourite photos and download your favourite music ~ in an easy to learn in environment.
CARER PAMPER DAYS
As a Carer it is a busy time where a much needed break is often not possible. Understanding this, Liberty invites Carers to regular Carer Pamper Days and best of all ~ it’s ‘our shout’.
Carers are welcomed for a delicious Devonshire Morning Tea and then hop on board our bus , call it a mystery trip. Maybe we’re off to a restaurant, a scenic drive or a picnic in a park. The day includes fellowship with others who also experience ‘what its like for you’ and also some practical conversation with staff who provide information and individual support. Sometimes it’s just an ear to listen that makes all the difference.

ALLIED HEALTH
Liberty Community Connect has partnered with Allied Connect to provide a range of allied health services including a podiatry clinic that offers services to existing clients on a six weekly cycle. This is subsidised to keep it affordable and accessible. We also facilitate a regular Wellbeing Week to focus on nutrition, physiology, occupational therapy, physio and more.
SCISSORS ‘N SASS HAIR SALON
Scissors ‘n Sass ~ I aim to tease ~ is our on~site hair salon. Our ‘sassy’ experienced hairdresser ~ Lorraine ~ looks forward to trimming, cutting, colouring, creating your new style. Liberty’s hairdressing salon is available to existing clients and their carers on a daily basis. This service is subsidised to keep it affordable. Appointments are necessary.
Déjà vu
Our on~site shop selling a variety of pre~loved and some new items including: books, clothing, accessories, glass and pottery and all manner of bric~a~brac. All donations to the shop are graciously accepted, and profits received are invested back in to the delivery of further care services supporting people living with a disability, the elderly, as well their carers and their families.
Craft 2 Create
Liberty Community Connect runs regular four week craft workshop. Classes are held on a Friday and include light morning tea and interactive lessons in creativity.
The cost is $10.00 for the four week period to cover basic materials (subject to change depending on activity).
