We are  a team of handpicked,  skilled and qualified individuals who truly care. Our management/leadership team alone have a combined 75 years of experience in the community care sector.

Our support staff have a minimum qualification of Certificate III in aged/disability/community care, and just as importantly are a fun loving, culturally diverse mob with a genuine passion to making a difference in people’s lives. We are local people taking advantage of the brilliant opportunities on offer throughout the Gold Coast. To boot we have a wide range of  hobbies, skills and  interests from gardening, fitness, yoga, art, cooking, languages, dancing, singing, fishing, travel… the list is endless!

Liberty takes staff recruitment very seriously. Successful applicants are reference and criminal record checked prior to commencement of employment. Training and development is on-going ensuring up to date skills and knowledge is maintained. When out and about on the job all Liberty staff wear photographic identification.

Liberty is committed to ensuring that our staff and volunteers  are passionate about working with the elderly, people who live with a disability and their carers – Livin’ Well – Lovin’ Life.

Liberty Community Connect is governed by a Management Committee who ensures the sound governance and long term sustainability of Liberty. The committee have been recruited based on the financial and organisational needs of Liberty as well as their knowledge, skills and experience both professionally and within the Gold Coast community. The Management Committee’s qualifications and experience cover a range of areas including insurance & risk, accounting, law, private business, housing construction & tenancy management, community aged care and disability sector (private and NFP), community participation and client representation.

Our volunteers are essential to our service delivery by increasing our opportunities in achieving  the WOW factor.

Over fifty volunteers work with us each year in various roles, supporting our clients and/or the organisation bringing their own experiences and gifts to maintain our excellent standard of service delivery and outstanding reputation in the community. Our volunteers have been regularly nominated and recognised through awards for their service to the Gold Coast Community.

Our dedicated volunteer  team contributes their time and effort with enthusiasm and passion. Gardening, washing vehicles, serving and preparing meals, cleaning, packing eskies, driving, creating decorations, assisting with admin tasks, spending time with people having a much needed chat ~ all the unseen acts of kindness that make a huge difference to ensuring Liberty maintains it’s high standard within the GC community.

In 2017-18 our amazing volunteers donated over 8,500 hours equaling over $232,000 in unpaid wages.

All volunteers of Liberty Community Connect are thoroughly reference and criminal record checked and wear photographic identification.
