Our team is made up of experienced, qualified professionals who genuinely care about the people they support. With decades of combined experience in the community care sector, our leadership team brings knowledge, stability, and a strong commitment to quality care.

All of our support staff are appropriately qualified and carefully selected, not only for their skills, but for their compassion, reliability, and positive approach. Our team is diverse, local to the Gold Coast, and passionate about making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

We take recruitment seriously. All staff undergo reference and criminal history checks prior to employment, and receive ongoing training to ensure their skills and knowledge remain up to date. When out in the community, all Liberty staff wear identification for your safety and peace of mind.

OUR COMMITTEE

Liberty Community Connect is governed by a dedicated Management Committee who oversee the organisation’s governance and long-term sustainability.

The Committee has been carefully selected based on the needs of Liberty, bringing together a diverse range of skills, experience, and strong connections within the Gold Coast community.

Collectively, the Committee’s expertise spans areas including governance and risk, finance and accounting, law, private business, housing and tenancy management, and community aged care. They also bring valuable insight through community participation and client representation, ensuring Liberty remains responsive to the people we support.

VOLUNTEERS

Our volunteers are essential to our service delivery by increasing our opportunities in achieving  the WOW factor.

Over fifty volunteers work with us each year in various roles, supporting our clients and/or the organisation bringing their own experiences and gifts to maintain our excellent standard of service delivery and outstanding reputation in the community. Our volunteers have been regularly nominated and recognised through awards for their service to the Gold Coast Community.

Our dedicated volunteer  team contributes their time and effort with enthusiasm and passion. Gardening, washing vehicles, serving and preparing meals, cleaning, packing eskies, driving, creating decorations, assisting with admin tasks, spending time with people having a much needed chat ~ all the unseen acts of kindness that make a huge difference to ensuring Liberty maintains it’s high standard within the GC community.

In 2017-18 our amazing volunteers donated over 8,500 hours equaling over $232,000 in unpaid wages.

All volunteers of Liberty Community Connect are thoroughly reference and criminal record checked and wear photographic identification.
