At Liberty, we are proud to share the stories of our clients who inspire us every day. One such client is, Lorraine, who has been part of the Liberty family since 2017.
Lorraine is an avid lover of the outdoors and enjoys spending time with her dog, Nova, as well as relaxing in the peacefulness of her backyard.
Through her Home Care Package, Lorraine receives a range of services from Liberty, including personal care, domestic assistance, and social support. These services have allowed her to maintain her independence and enjoy the comforts of her own home for many years.
However, in March of this year, Lorraine faced a significant challenge when she suffered a fall that resulted in a broken hip. After undergoing surgery, she spent a considerable amount of time in the hospital, followed by a five-month stay in respite care. It was a difficult period for Lorraine, as the transition back home after such an injury can be daunting.
Liberty was there to support Lorriane every step of the way. Upon her return home, Liberty reactivated her services, ensuring she had the help she needed to recover comfortably and regain her routine. Lorraine speaks fondly of the support she has received from Liberty during her recovery journey. She shared, “I’m so grateful to be back in my own home again. If there is a concern, I just call on the girls – they are very obliging.”
For Lorraine, Liberty’s care has not only helped ease the physical challenges she faced but also provided much-needed peace of mind.
