We take recruitment and safety seriously. All staff complete reference and criminal history checks prior to employment and participate in ongoing training to keep their skills and knowledge up to date. When out in the community, all Liberty staff carry identification for your peace of mind.

OUR COMMITTEE

Liberty Community Connect is governed by a dedicated Management Committee who oversee the organisation’s governance and long term sustainability.

The Committee has been carefully selected to reflect the needs of Liberty, bringing together a diverse mix of skills, experience and strong connections within the Gold Coast community.

Collectively, the Committee’s expertise includes governance and risk, finance and accounting, private business, housing and tenancy management, and community aged care.

They also bring valuable insight through community participation and client representation, helping ensure Liberty remains responsive and connected to the people we support.

VOLUNTEERS

Our volunteers play an important role in supporting the services we deliver and helping create meaningful experiences for our clients.

We currently have a dedicated group of around 20 volunteers who contribute across a range of roles, supporting both our clients and the organisation. They bring their own skills, experiences and genuine care, helping us maintain a high standard of service and strong connection within the community.

As we continue to grow, we are always looking to welcome new volunteers who are passionate about making a positive difference.

Our dedicated volunteer  team contributes their time and effort with enthusiasm and passion. Gardening, washing vehicles, serving and preparing meals, cleaning, packing eskies, driving, creating decorations, assisting with admin tasks, spending time with people having a much needed chat ~ all the unseen acts of kindness that make a huge difference to ensuring Liberty maintains it’s high standard within the GC community.

In 2017-18 our amazing volunteers donated over 8,500 hours equaling over $232,000 in unpaid wages.

All volunteers of Liberty Community Connect are thoroughly reference and criminal record checked and wear photographic identification.
