Carer Support

“There is so much I want to do now and I know with your help that I can” - Carer
Specifically designed with the carer in mind, carer support is about providing resources to carers to ensure they are empowered, supported and feel refreshed.

Offering choice and opportunity to support clients living independently at home, Liberty provides In home Respite. Our friendly and qualified Support Workers come to your home and keep your loved one company whilst you take time  for  what matters to you, a break from your caring role for coffee with a friend, a movie, hairdresser, off to the bank or other errands – even a game of bowls perhaps? Talk to us about your needs.

Carer Pamper Days

As a Carer it is a busy time where a much needed break is often not possible. Understanding this, Liberty invites Carers to regular Carer pamper Days  called ‘Time 2 Dine’ – it’s ‘our shout’. Carers are welcomed for a delicious Devonshire Morning Tea and then on to the bus headed to a lovely restaurant to dine together. The day includes fellowship with others who also experience  ‘what its like for you’ and also some practical conversation with staff who provide information and individual support. Sometimes it’s just an ear to listen that makes all the difference.

Respite Discovery Tours

Do you CARE for someone aged over 65 or for someone over 50 who is an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander?

Are you thinking about residential or centre based respite but find it all too confusing?

If you answered YES to these questions Liberty welcomes you to come along on one of our Respite Discovery Tours.

These tours have been designed to assist Carers to unravel the maze of respite. The day includes information, costs of respite, paperwork requirements, ACATs, plus much more…….and takes in a visit to two residential facilities to see how it all works.
